Boomer

Boomer came to me at the lowest point of my life. I had lost my wonderful yorkie Gigi, two cats and my husband in a matter of months. One night I was told about a lady in a town near by who rescued dogs and then found them homes. She had a older Yorkie that had been badly abused and needed a home. She brought him to me that very night and even though Boomer was petrified of people he jumped off the lap of the woman who brought him and jumped on the couch next to me. We completely loved each other from that moment on. Over the years Boomer blossomed. He didn’t totally trust people but learned to tolerate them.. He was happy all the time and would do hilarious things. Now because of an accident I can not walk without assistance. We have an apartment in an Independent Living Facility. Boomer became a goodwill ambassador. Every day. I would put him in the basket of my motorized scooter and we would visit people who needed Boomers affection. Today I got his ashes back. And the pain is very intense. He will always be the gift God sent me when I needed him most and I guess it was now time for God to take his Angel home.
