Shadow
I miss you, Shadow, something intensely. On June-26-2008, I adopted you and from that day on, you have taught me a lot in my life. You came to me when I, too, needed to be rescued and we both learned so much from each other. First, you taught me how your name fitted your personality— you always kept following me like my own shadow! And soon enough, you showed me how great of a fetcher dog you were and always so focused on your toys! Oh, how you loved your toys… You had your own beautiful way of having me know how impressive of a swimmer you were while fetching on the water too— I was always so proud of just watching you swimming so energetically. How wonderful of a watch dog you were and always protecting me! How enthusiastic you were to learn new commands and always remembering them all the way to the end. How much of energy you always had for so many years until this horrible disease took over your body so progressively.
It has been very hard not to have you around in the house any longer. I will always LOVE YOU, my dear Shadow. May you rest in peace.

It is never easy to lose a pet because although they are pets they become our sons and daughters. Our hearts are molded by their embrace, their excitement to see us, and their zest for life. Shadow gave you everything you needed for the time frame you needed it and more. You are brave and a courageous mom and I am 1000% sure he was grateful to you for doing everything possible for him.

Oh shadow! May you rest in everlasting peace! For the short time I had you, you were the best dog! I was so young and you were such a puppy! Such great memories I’ll cherish and hold on to! I’m so happy your mommy did such a great job with you! So smart! So funny! So sweet and crazy you had it all shadow! I’ll miss you so much dear… I know so many people will too. Lacy thank you so much! For being so loving and unconditional for shadow, he had the best mommy ever & the best life he could ever have god bless you lacy! Rest In Peace shadow. I hope one day we all get to see that cute face of yours again! Till then rest easy sweet heart ❤️

What wonderful thought’s of shadow being at our joining fence waiting For us to let out our now past ziggy and Lukas dogs to run along the fence even even though they never met in person he will be missed
Shadow was the dog next door to my house My dog and Shadow were just getting to know each other. Wish they had more time to play. Very sad to loose your best friend RIP Shadow
Thank you Shadow for helping to take care of Terra when she came for overnight visits. Your mommy loves you and misses you tremendously and with God’s help she will be okay.
Lacy you have been blessed with wonderful memories of Shadow. Just continue to embrace each and every one them and know that Shadow is at peace.

Dearest Shadow, Oh how you’ll be missed. You were (& still are) loved by so many. Your unique spirit will keep your memory alive and vibrant. Seeing all of the videos and photos of you and your brother Marley growing up together will provide such comfort to your Mom and friends. The years we spent at the dog parks and beaches were some of the best times with the hardiest laughs ever. You never tired of chasing the Chuck-it ball, wherever we happened to be, or jumping off the floating mat into the water nonstop. When Marley would run out of energy and take a nap, you would still be going long after he woke up. Sometimes you drove your Mom crazy with your quirky behaviors, but never was the intensity of your love for each other in doubt. You were the luckiest, and most loved dog ever. You wanted for nothing, and always had the best of everything. Your Mom wouldn’t let it be any other way.
Shadow, you will be missed beyond words, but your spirit will never let you be forgotten.
Your soul has become part of us all.

Lacy, even though Shadow has gone on to a better place he is still in your heart and mind. The memories you have of him will keep him close to you. Cherish his love and memory but keep moving forward to the life you want to live.
